WHAT IS BATTLE BIRDS?
Battle birds is a head-to-head shooting competition where two shooters faceoff. Each match consists of two battles and pull is only called once at the start of each battle. Clays are thrown consecutively between shooters after the clay has been hit or after the shooters second shot. While the other shooter is shooting, the shooter is expected to reload in preparation for his next 'bird'. The match is scored on broken bird/no bird - the highest score wins the match and moves onto the next round.
- Only two shells can be loaded in gun at a time.
- One Match = Two Battles; about 3.5 minutes/match
- Each battle consists of 13 clays or "birds" per shooter
- Birds 1-7: Single birds are thrown on report of 2nd shot or when the single bird is hit on 1st shot.
- Birds 8-13: True pairs are thrown after 2 shots OR when #1 single was hit on first shot going into the true pairs being thrown.
- Winner of match moves onto next round.
- [ No minimum age as long as with guardian & general gun safety will be enforced. ]
